TORRIJOS, Marinduque -- The Torrijos Fire Station is stepping up its emergency response game with the completion of a new Multi-Purpose Building courtesy of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Marinduque District Engineering Office.

The recently finished two-story, 110-square meter structure, located in the Municipality of Torrijos, is designed to provide a more convenient and spacious working environment for the fire station personnel. Equipped with storage spaces, a records facility, amenities for visitors, and even a female firefighter barracks, the building aims to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the station's operations.

Marinduque District Engineer Richard Emmanuel P. Ragragio highlighted the significance of the new facility in a report to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan. He emphasized that the upgraded infrastructure will bolster the fire station's readiness to tackle various emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in the municipality.
